Lovely forty years ago. Lovely today. I can only thank Carmian and all involved in "Sound of Music" for one of the great entertainment joys of my life. I cannot count the times I have seen it. Every member of the cast stands out clearly in my memory, but none more than the beautiful and talented Charmian Carr. There was a freshness, an enthusiasm, a bright spark of all that is best in young women in those magnificent blue eyes and that perfect smile. It is so good to hear of her life today. I wish her and all her castmates the very best of life's gifts.
