Emeka Okafor Pictures

Emeka Okafor primarily played center and power forward. His numbers in the post were solid, both defensively and offensively. As one of the University of Connecticut's finest athletes, Okafor would go on to become the Huskies all-time leader in blocked shots with 441. This feat was aside from the numerous NCAA honors that he received. During his last year of college basketball, he was named Big East Player of the Year, a tremendous accomplishment. The NCAA coaches also realized his defensive presence down low when they awarded him with the National Defensive Player of the Year award. It soon became eminent that Emeka Okafor was deserving of a spot on a professional basketball roster.
