I am a big fan of Joan Plowright since i saw her at the Old Vic theatre London in the early 60's in Shaw's St Joan. She had such great stage presence and she was such a brilliant actor even in those days. She has gone on not only to make her name in the theatre but also in the film roles she has played in recent years. I am also a fan of her late husband Laurence Olivier whom she acted with at the National theatre London in some wonderful plays. I do hope Joan Plowright will carry on acting as long as she can as she is nearly 80 years old now i think. She is one of Britain's greatest actors in my opinion and is able to take on many different parts like her husband Laurence Olivier they aren't just actors but great entertainers of the theatre going public.
