I am a fan of Joyce Grenfell i thought her a very clever actress and comedian. I don't remember her in her early days but i used to like her in the comic parts she played in films later in her career. I have just brought a DVD of her appearances on the BBC between the 1960's and 70's she was a master at monologues especially the lumpy Lattimer etc sketches. I am looking forward to getting my DVD so i can see Joyce at her most entertaining. Such a pity she died so young only about 69 years old, i saw Maureen Lipman who is also a fan take her off in a programme called rejoyce, i think she also did the part on the London stage Maureen Lipman was so like Joyce she reaaly captured Joyce's personality and comic timing i thought.
