Ms.Price: I first heard you around 1958 at the Cincinnati May Festival singing excerpts from "Porgy and Bess" with Mr. Warfield. I was surprised on hearing the Gershwin as I hadn't heard it before, so I don't remember your voice but I certainly remember the magnificent presence of both you and Mr. Warfield. I have since found what a spectacularly magnificent voice that you have and the extraordinary musicianship with which you use it. I treasure the many recordings you have made, but I must single out three very special ones which have given me and many many others an experience of emotional and spiritual beauty, The incomparable Christmas album with Maestro Karajan, the Barber "Hermit songs" and the Knoxville summer and Anthony and Cleopatra excepts with the late Thomas Schippers and finally the 1960 excerpts from "Porgy and Bess" 9how wonderful Mr. Bubbles is!!!You are a rare American Treasure.
